ABA-American Business Associates Networking Group … a unique community of business executives helping each other expand their professional and personal horizons.

Since 1988 American Business Associates (ABA) has been developing communities of professional men and women with the intention of building positive relationships leading to greater success in business and in life. The ABA provides their members with a professionally managed program which creates a constant source of prospects and an environment that provides training, positive reinforcement, and self motivation. In New Jersey, ABA is owned and managed by Bob Putt, a former US Army Combat Medic and one of the Garden State's most prolific serial networkers and entrepreneurs.

Exclusive Membership In a Relaxed Environment

If you’ve already tried highly intensive business networking groups, ABA could be your ideal business networking solution. ABA is made up of owners, senior managers, and executives of middle market businesses, operating in the New Jersey area. All members of ABA have mature books of business. There are no start-ups, and approximately 40% of the members have been with ABA for more than ten years! Most meetings in New Jersey are held in Fairfield, with over forty businesses attending on a bi-weekly basis.

Unique Meeting Format

ABA is comprised of distinct councils (i.e. networking groups) of approximately 25 members each, that meet every other week. Each group within the association is exclusive in that there is only one of any particular business type or profession represented, and each member is a decision maker in their own right. During ABA meetings, the science, art and practice of networking is taught by Bob Putt, our facilitator.

Dynamic Facilitation & Leadership

Bob’s steady but subtle hand ensures an on-going stream of prospects through his own unique and insightful matchmaking skills. Bob acts as an accountability coach, and is always available to his or her council members and helps them leverage the group to grow their business. The essence and foundation of the ABA technique is to build rapport and trust between members for the purpose of leveraging each other’s contacts and circles of influence, and for the further purpose of expanding each of their businesses. The ABA atmosphere and technique is by nature entrepreneurial. It is not bureaucratic or corporate.
